Rotterdam – Norway’s handball players remain the measure of all things. On Sunday, the 2024 European and Olympic champions had the upper hand against Germany in the World Cup final in Rotterdam with 23:20 (11:11) and won the World Cup crown for the fifth time. The DHB selection, which surprisingly defeated the defending French champions 29:23 in the semi-finals on Friday, narrowly failed in the fight for their first World Cup gold since 1993, but won their first medal since World Cup bronze in 2007.
