It’s not just on the field that São Paulo is in a terrible phase. Following complaints involving the São Paulo club’s medical department, the ge portal released a report about a scheme to illegally sell a box at Morumbis, involving two members of the board.
According to the article, Douglas Schwartzmann, deputy director of the São Paulo base, and Mara Casares, women’s, cultural and events director – and ex-wife of the current president, Julio Casares – sold tickets irregularly to a box provided by Marcio Carlomagno, current CEO and likely candidate for president in the 2026 election.
According to a case that is taking place in the 3rd Civil Court of Regional Forum IX – Vila Prudente, the incident allegedly happened in February this year, for the singer Shakira’s concert, which took place at Morumbis, and the box in question is “3A”, which is next to the presidential box at the stadium.
In the legal action, Schwartzmann and Mara would have transferred the right to use the box to an intermediary, Rita de Cássia Adriana Prado. Rita reportedly earned R$130,000 selling tickets to the show, with each ticket costing R$2,000.
The scheme, however, turned sour after Rita sued Carolina Lima Casemiro, who is accused of taking an envelope with 60 tickets to the show without authorization. The intermediary accuses Carolina of “only” paying R$100,000 for the tickets sold for R$132,000.
In the audios released by ge, Schwartzmann and Mara pressure Rita to withdraw the action against Carolina, at the risk of exposing the “scheme” between the directors.
— You never realize that it was done clandestinely? That’s the word. Or didn’t you know? Did you know or not? — asks Douglas.
— We three know how it was done. You’re not stupid, neither am I nor anyone else. this was done improperly. In a non-normal way. It’s not normal. A favor was done. And you are wasting a favor, burning the people who helped you — he continued.
— Your mistake back there caused a loss, it’s over. There’s no recovery, baby. It does not have. Everyone lost there. Now, do you want to harm Mara (Casares) and Marcio (Carlomagno)? And that? — he added.
— And I’m going to repeat something. You (Rita) are someone Mara trusted. I only got into this because Mara assured me that you were completely trustworthy. From the first day I told you this. We can’t do anything wrong here. So, there were deals where you made money, I made money, everyone made money. But everything was done in trust — he continued.
At various times, Douglas draws Rita’s attention to the risk of exposing a clandestine business.
— Does your lawyer know that everything is clandestine? Want me to explain to him how you got this deal? Do you want me to call your lawyer and explain that you had no right to sell that? Because you know you didn’t. Me, you and Mara know — he said.

What is São Paulo’s position? Will directors be fired?
In a statement, São Paulo informed that “it became aware of the content of the audio through the press and that it will carry out the necessary investigation of the facts”.
Tricolor stated that it “will adopt the measures that prove necessary” and that Douglas Schwartzmann and Mara Casares “requested leave from their respective management positions”.
