Juan also analyzed international competitiveness after the recent performance of Brazilian clubs in the Club World Cup.
“It was clear, in this last World Cup, that Brazilian football also has its value and can compete with any other team in the world”, he stated.
For him, it is among the teams capable of facing rivals from any country.
Flamengo is one of those teams that I believe has a great chance of winning against any opponent in the world.

Juan arrived at Flamengo as a boy, aged 11, and became a professional in 1996, after switching from midfield to defense.
He established himself in the squad in 1999, during the Copa Mercosul title campaign, scoring in the final against Palmeiras. In 2001, he again decided the championship by scoring a goal in the Champions Cup final, which took the club to the Libertadores.
