“Just as the Sudetenland was not enough in 1938, Putin will not stop”, said Friedrich Merz during a party conference in Germany, in a reference to the treaty known in the Czech Republic as “the Betrayal of Munich”.
The Chancellor of Germany, Friedrich Merzcompared Russian President Vladimir Putin to Adolf Hitlerin a speech given on Saturday night, warning that the Kremlin leader’s ambitions they won’t stay for Ukraine.
“Such as the Sudetenland did not arrive in 1938, Putin will not stop. If Ukraine falls, he it won’t stay there“, Merz said, referring to Vladimir Putin. “This is a war of Russian aggression against Ukraine — and against Europe.”
