Almost 150 Ukrainian drones were “captured and destroyed” over the entire European part of Russia, according to the statement of the Russian Ministry of Defense. The most – 38 – were neutralized over the Astrakhan region. The Rostov region also faced a massive attack.
According to the Ministry of Defense, the Belgorod, Kaluga, Tula, Kursk, Oryol, Ryazan regions, as well as the Kalmyk Republic and the coast of the Caspian Sea, were subjected to drone attacks. The attacks come as Ukraine, the US and European partners work to finalize a peace deal in an effort to end the Russian-led war in 2022. Meanwhile, Russia continues to regularly attack Ukrainian cities, targeting energy and civilian infrastructure.
