During a certain part of his career, George faced Clooney is rumored to prefer boys to girls. In front of the camera, however, he built an image of a seducer of women. But now he has declared that he refuses to kiss the female characters from his films. Not because his wife Amal forbids him, but because he feels too old for it.
The sixty-four-year-old actor stated that he would like his career to develop like that of Paul Newman. Clooney, who has eight-year-old twins Ella and Alexander with his wife Amal, told journalist Richard Eden of The Mail.
“I was trying to go the Paul Newman route. Okay, so no more kissing girls.” When I was sixty, I had a conversation with my wife. I said, ‘Look, I can still play basketball with the guys. I play with 25-year-olds.’ I can still keep up with them, I’m in shape. But in 25 years I will be 85. It doesn’t matter how many muesli bars you eat, that’s just a real number,” explained the star of Danny’s Sidekicks.
George was not famous for kissing in front of the camera. On the contrary, the filmmakers themselves criticized him for such scenes, which, he admitted, made him very sad. “I remember early in my career I was supposed to shoot a kissing scene with a girl and the director said, ‘Not like this, no!’ And I said: ‘Hey, this is my style! This is how I do it in real life,'” the actor admitted.
