Three fishermen missing in Caminha

The National Maritime Authority is still searching for three fishermen, of Indonesian nationality, off Caminha, who are missing at sea after the local fishing vessel they were traveling in sank this Sunday at around 12:20 pm.

As searches off Caminha for three Indonesian fishermen missing at sea, after the fishing vessel they were on sank on Sunday, were recovered on Monday morning, reported the local port captain.

Fernando Vieira Pereira said that the searches will be reinforced by the Air Force with a fixed-wing maritime patrol plane and a helicopter, while the lifeguard team from the Viana do Castelo station will be on the water.

The Spanish Maritime Rescue team, which will patrol from the border to the port of La Guardia, will be joined by a forensic diving group from the Maritime Police, while the Volunteer Firefighters from Vila Praia de Âncora and Caminha will patrol on foot on the beach.
