The United States released an official note congratulating José Antonio Kast on his victory in the presidential election in Chile. The demonstration, by X, was signed by the US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio.
In the statement, the North American government states that it trusts that, under Kast’s leadership, Chile will advance on priorities shared between the two countries. Among them, strengthening public security, combating illegal immigration and revitalizing bilateral trade relations.
The note also highlights Washington’s expectation to work closely with the new Chilean government, with the aim of deepening the partnership between the countries and promoting shared prosperity in the hemisphere.
