15 Dec (Reuters) – Businessman Wesley Batista, from the J&F group, controller of JBS (BDR: ), this Monday praised President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva for opening foreign markets for Brazilian products, especially agribusiness, and said that Brazil “is happy” to have Lula as president.
At an event to inaugurate Apex’s new headquarters in Brasília, Wesley Batista stated that Lula’s work has been a differentiator for Brazilian agribusiness.
“I want to say, President Lula, that the work you have done in these three years has been a huge difference for agribusiness and Brazilian industry as a whole”, said the businessman.

“Our animal protein sector, specifically, has never exported as much as it is exporting now, to all markets,” he stated.
“I speak here on behalf of the animal protein sector, and I think I can say on behalf of the Brazilian industry, Brazil is happy to have you (Lula) leading the country.”
