Rescuers helped on Tuesday morning in Kysak (Košice district – surroundings) on the railway to a 38-year-old worker who suffered a fractured scapula after falling from a height. The rescue helicopter took him to the hospital in Košice. This was confirmed to TASR by Petra Klimešová, spokeswoman for the Operations Center of the Emergency Medical Service of the Slovak Republic.
The portal noviny.sk reported on the accident, saying that it happened during reconstruction work on one of the tracks, while the man was supposed to work on the upper part of the wagon and fell from a height of approximately four meters.
The police are investigating the case. “Currently, actions aimed at proper clarification of the deed are being carried out. The police officers are currently investigating the matter as a suspicion of the commission of a crime of bodily harm, but it is not possible to provide more information at the moment.” Košice regional police spokeswoman Jana Illésová told TASR.
“The operator of emergency line 155 sent an ambulance and a rescue helicopter to a 38-year-old man who suffered a broken shoulder blade after a fall. The patient was transported to a hospital in Košice.” informed Klimešová.
