Interest in the deputy (PL-SP) on the internet has quadrupled in the last 30 days compared to the previous period. In 2025, the volume of searches for the parliamentarian’s name will be on par with that of 2022, the year in which she was elected deputy for the second time and played the lead role for a man on the eve of the second round of elections.

Even before her resignation, she was already registering a rise in the polls. In June of this year, she reached the first peak of searches, when she left Brazil and was considered a fugitive in Italy to avoid serving the ten-year prison sentence imposed by the Federal Supreme Court.
She was convicted in May for participating in the invasion of the CNJ (National Council of Justice) system. At the request of the minister, Interpol included his name in the red broadcast, an international police cooperation mechanism to locate fugitives from justice.
In the same decision, Zambelli’s definitive arrest, in a closed regime, in addition to the loss of his mandate.
Another moment of strong interest occurred at the end of July, when she remained detained in a closed regime.
In both episodes, the search for Zambelli also grew outside Brazil. In the last 12 months, Italy appears as the third country most searched for by the congresswoman, behind only Brazil and Portugal, according to data from Google Trends.
Last Sunday (14), Zambelli regained traction in the polls after announcing his resignation, a decision taken after the plenary rejected the revocation of his mandate.
In these three moments — her departure from Brazil, her arrest in Italy and her resignation —, she surpassed in terms of search volume deputies who until then led interest in Google, such as (PL-MG), (-SP) and (-RJ).
The latter recorded a recent explosion in the polls following his position as President of the Chamber during the process calling for the revocation of his mandate; subsequently, the House freed Glauber from impeachment for six months.
He ordered that Zambelli serve his sentence in Brazil. The extradition request must be analyzed by the Italian court next Thursday (18). If extradited, she will be sent to the Federal District Women’s Penitentiary, known as Colmeia.
