Who is Matko Miljevic?
The 24-year-old player was born in Miami, United States, and has dual nationality – American and Croatian. He is the son of Argentine parents and has Bosnian-Croat ancestry on his grandfather’s side.
In football, he defended both Argentina, in the youth teams (under-16 and under-18), and the United States (under-20 and main).
Miljevic was trained by Boca Juniors, but began his professional career with Argentino Juniors. He then transferred to CF Montreal, in Canada, where he was involved in an episode involving aggression, which resulted in his suspension from the Canadian league.
The athlete then returned to Argentina, for a quick spell at Newell’s Old Boys before arriving at Huracán.
Matko plays as a creative and versatile attacking midfielder, with a good pressing game, ball handling, as well as precise passes and a strong shot from outside the area.
