The , do , welcomes applications until January 9, 2026 for the 2026–2027 edition of the scholarships. The program will select ten journalists from different countries for a year of academic immersion in .
The scholarships are aimed at professionals with at least three years of experience covering , , or . Reporters, editors, producers, illustrators, filmmakers and photojournalists from print, audiovisual or digital media outlets can apply.
Selected scholarship recipients receive US$85,000 (around R$450,000) over nine months, to cover expenses during the program. The program also offers health insurance for scholarship recipients and their families. Participants cannot carry out paid professional work during the scholarship, unless authorized by the program management.
The program takes place between August 2026 and May 2027. During this period, fellows develop a journalistic project, take at least one science subject per semester and participate in seminars, training and field visits organized by the university.
Registration requires a letter justifying interest in the scholarship, CV, project proposal, three work samples and three letters of recommendation. The selection result will be announced in April 2026.
