Aged 36, she lived at the Mundo Marino water park which states that the reason for her death was a heart attack
The Kshamenk orca, the last of its species in captivity in South America, died this Sunday (14). The male orca became known as the “loneliest in the world”. Aged 36, she lived at the Mundo Marino water park, in Argentina, which states that the reason for her death was a cardiorespiratory heart attack. The foundation said goodbye to the animal on social media telling its story. She was saved 1992 in Samborombón Bay.

Kshamenk lived for a few years with another female orca named Belen. She was rescued on another occasion and died in 2000, when she was pregnant.
