The forecast for Warsaw is 1 degree Celsius, with slight frosts and rain and snow at night. The forecast for Poznań and Wrocław looks similar. Only in the mountains you can count on more winter weather. In Zakopane, thermometers will show from 1 to minus 3 degrees Celsius.

Meteorologists are monitoring synoptic models and emphasize that there is still a chance that the weather for Christmas will be more wintry. Snowfall and even more severe frost are possible locally.

As it turns out, the weather models for the second half of December 2025 and the first half of January 2026 are much more interesting. According to the latest forecasts, it is during this period that a major change in the weather may occur. Both the GFS and ECMWF models indicate massive changes in weather and the onset of true winter. During this period, there is enough to completely change the air pressure situation over Europe, which will have a huge impact on the weather in Poland. According to scientists’ forecasts, a powerful high pressure is forming in the north of the continent, and there will be an extensive low pressure in the south. Yes, the arrangement is supposed to mean that powerful Arctic air systems will flow over Poland. The first forecasts indicate that this process will start between December 24 and 28, 2025. As the days pass, the temperature will begin to drop more and more and snowfall will occur. Thermometers can indicate even several dozen degrees of frost. will be from 5 to 10 centimeters. The heaviest snowfall is expected in the east and south of the country. The presented weather models indicate that the greatest winter attack is forecast for December 28, i.e. just after Christmas.
