Victory in the downhill, third place in the slalom: the German-Swedish talent is impressive. The 22-year-old’s interviews have already achieved cult status
Emma Aicher after her downhill triumph in St. Moritz.
Between the US festivals of Lindsey Vonn and Mikaela Shiffrin in the Alpine Ski World Cup, another athlete caused a sensation these days: Emma Aicher. Last Saturday, the 22-year-old secured her third World Cup victory in the second downhill run in St. Moritz, and three days later she came third in the slalom in Courchevel. Once again proof of her all-round talent, as she takes part in all speed and technical races. The smooth transition is impressive. “I always have to take my hat off to this woman. What she does is crazy!” says ARD expert Felix Neureuther. Vonn praised her “mad feeling” on Bavarian Radio (BR).
