The former president’s defense () requested the (Supreme Federal Court) this Wednesday (17) that the former first lady be able to visit her husband in prison every Tuesday and Thursday, at a time defined by the minister.
“Such a measure will allow any future requests to be restricted only to the indication of other authorized visitors, without any change to the previously established conditions, contributing to the administrative organization and avoiding successive petitions with identical content”, says the request made by Bolsonaro’s lawyers, Celso Vilardi and Paulo Bueno.
According to them, the minister must consider “the regularity of family visits already authorized, as well as with the aim of providing greater rationality and predictability to compliance with the imposed conditions”.
Bolsonaro has been detained in the Federal District Superintendence since November 22nd. Moraes has not yet decided on the defense’s request.
On Monday (15), the defense also asked Moraes for the former president to undergo surgery. According to lawyers, he needs a surgical procedure to correct a bilateral inguinal hernia, in addition to additional interventions.
