Casa dos Ventos closes R$5 billion deal with Vestas for wind farm in Piauí

The renewable generator Casa dos Ventos closed an agreement to install Vestas wind turbines in a new 828 megawatt (MW) wind complex in Piauí, which will require investments of R$5 billion, the companies announced this Wednesday (17).

Called Dom Inocêncio, the new venture will feature 184 V150-4.5 MW model turbines from the Danish company.

Construction of the wind farm is expected to begin in 2026, with final commissioning scheduled for 2028.

In addition to supplying the turbines and managing the construction project, Vestas will be responsible for operation and maintenance services for 25 years.
