The case is ‘shocking’ the country and was discussed on the program ‘Dois à 10’ this Wednesday, December 17th. A man ran over a woman with a two-month-old child on the street, and the baby ended up losing her life after the accident.
Live, and even before giving the floor to the commentators in the studio, Cristina Ferreira showed her discomfort, regretting what had happened.
“This really confuses me. Firstly, it confuses us that a two-month-old child dies and then, because I always think that this could happen to any of us”he began by saying.
Cristina Ferreira then highlighted the reaction of the man who, after the accident, isolated himself “without reaction” and only later returned to the scene, and showed his compassion: “It was said that there was no speeding, so it must have been normal driving. And this can happen to us, not seeing it, looking to the side, whatever it may be, but now this man has this weight on his shoulders. The mother who lost her child and this man who ran him over”.
Further on, the presenter also recalled the “scares” she has experienced on the road: “I’ve had a lot of scares on the road with people who, without us thinking, cross paths. At night, nowadays, you hardly see anything about people anymore and therefore, I always put myself in their place… If this ever happens to me, I know that I’m a cautious driver and this could happen to me”.
