Senator spoke about doing “what has already worked” in the Bolsonaro government
Senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) stated this Tuesday, 16, that he has spoken with former minister Paulo Guedes, but that there is no definition of who will lead his economic team. According to Flávio, however, the person chosen will have the same school as Guedes, defending the free market.
“I speak to Professor Paulo Guedes whenever I have any questions regarding the economy… He is certainly a person who will be available. What I have said, while I do not have a package ready to speak publicly about the pillars of what I intend to do, but without a doubt is to continue what Minister Paulo Guedes has been doing”, he declared in an interview with Revista Oeste’s YouTube channel.
The senator reaffirmed that he will seek to continue the economic policies adopted during the government of his father, former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL). “When we announce someone, the person who will give this direction to our economy, when the time is right, will be someone who has the same school, who thinks the same, who has the same characteristics of seeking the free market, of doing what worked during the Bolsonaro government”, he said.
Bolsa Família
Flávio said that the path for Bolsa Família, a program created by the PT government, is to maintain the benefits for a while for those who get jobs. “In the Bolsonaro government, the person who was on Bolsa Família and got a job with a formal contract continued earning R$200 for up to two years, until the person stabilized in the job. President Bolsonaro rewarded… This is the way,” he declared.
