The governor of Pará, (MDB), and the vice-governor, appear in a video posted by praising the parliamentarian, who is investigating the embezzlement of public funds through fraud in tenders.
The video was published on August 5, 2024, during the electoral campaign for Ananindeua City Hall. he ran with the support of the governor, but received 8.38% of the votes — the winner was the re-elected mayor, Dr. Daniel (PSB).
In the video, Governor Helder Barbalho says that Doido is an honest and serious man. “You are a family man who honors your daughter and honors your wife, Andrea,” he said. “You don’t embarrass your wife by making your wife feel embarrassed because you don’t behave when she’s out of the house.”
“Let’s with our activism say that Ananindeua can do more, can advance further, can be a better city to live in with Antônio Doido, mayor of the city of Ananindeua”, he added.
Hana, appointed as a pre-candidate for the government of Pará, cites the fact that she has lived with the parliamentarian in recent years. “He has the competence and that’s what we need to have as a manager”, said Helder’s deputy. “He has the energy and determination that are necessary for a great leader.”
When contacted, the governor and his deputy did not respond to the Panel’s requests for comment.
