Pyco in tears, she breathed her last in his arms: We have been fighting for our lives every day for the last months!

Former TV presenter and also a successful creator of cookbooks, Martin “Pyco” Rausch (48) is grieving. Shortly before Christmas, his beloved cat Titti died. He shared the sad news on social networks. “Rest in peace. Thank you for 15.5 years of being together, which changed my life from the ground up,” Pyco poured out his heart.

Their paths crossed in 2010 when a great animal lover was providing temporary care for abandoned or sick cats. He was then given a small black ball to care for, which hid under the couch for the first three months and only came out at night to secretly eat and go to the toilet. “She was to be my ninth cat in temporary custody. She was the shyest and most intelligent kitten I have ever seen. And the first cat I adopted” he recalled.

Titti grew up to be the exact opposite of a timid kitten. Pyco said she was always scanning people at the door and reaching into maintenance workers’ bags. “She helped me take care of three more patients and then Yoda, the white cat we adopted as well,” he shared with followers. The death of the kitten opened a wound from last year, which Pyco also had to deal with during the Advent season. “The black and white idyll ended like this before Christmas. Yodo left us very suddenly and unexpectedly last year. And it’s been a lot of downhill since then…,” he confided.

The cat was there for all his life’s joys and pains. “I was barely 33 when she appeared, today I am 48 and as an animal lover I know that I will probably never experience such a strong and mutual connection with the animal soul again. In the last months, due to the strong symptoms of a difficult diagnosis, we fought for our lives every day, and she breathed her last after long hours in my arms and with a calm look,” he described the difficult moments of the four-legged pet’s departure.

The fear of what will be has replaced the sadness of what was. Rest where nothing hurts anymore. When returning home, I can no longer say: “My Tittula, my beautiful cat”.” Pyco added at the end of the sad status. In the comments, people expressed their sincere condolences to him, as they can empathize with the immense pain that is currently gripping his heart.

The moderator read the most emotional reaction from the civic association MačkySOS. They thanked him with all their hearts for the love that Titti had given. “Only thanks to you, you turned a shy black ball into a confident feline personality, a lifelong partner and a silent witness to everything you’ve been through. It is precisely for such stories that our work makes sense.” the association said.

“Titti was extremely lucky that you not only looked after her temporarily in 2010, but that you gave her a home, security and safety for more than 15 beautiful years. She was leaving where she belonged, in the arms of the person she loved. We keep our fingers crossed for you in this very difficult time and send you lots of strength. Titti left a deep mark in your life and in ours. May he rest in peace,” the association said. “Thank you for everything and for these words. Immense,” responded a devastated Pyco.
