The European Parliament supported the plan to stop the import of Russian gas

The European Parliament voted on a plan to phase out Russian gas imports. The ministers of the member countries will decide on the official confirmation next year.

On Wednesday, the European Parliament approved the EU plan for the gradual end of the import of pipeline and liquefied Russian gas by the autumn of 2027 at the latest. It still needs to be officially approved by the ministers of the EU member states, which is expected at the beginning of next year. The plan should then take effect. It was reported by the Reuters agency, writes TASR.

We will update the report.
