On Tuesday, US prosecutors charged the son of famous Hollywood director Rob Reiner with two counts of first-degree murder in connection with the brutal killing of his parents. Nick Reiner, 32, could face life in prison without parole or the death penalty if convicted, District Attorney Nathan Hochman said, adding that prosecutors are still deciding whether to seek the death penalty in the case. American director, actor and producer Rob Reiner and his wife Michele Singer Reiner were found dead in their home in Los Angeles on Sunday. Obaja apparently died as a result of stab wounds.
They were called to the place around 3:30 p.m. local time first the paramedics, a few minutes later the police were also sent there. Police arrested Reiner’s son only a few hours after the tragedy. Nick was due to appear in court for the first time on Tuesday morning, but his lawyer said that due to health reasons, he will not appear in court until Wednesday at the earliest.
