Toyota (including Lexus) will be doing a lot of work on prestigious sports cars in the next few years and, unlike most of its Japanese competitors, will also be bringing them to Europe. Current example: the GR GT and GT3 prototypes. Toyota speaks of “racing car for road and race track”, technical highlights: the manufacturer’s first all-aluminum frame, newly developed 4.0-liter V8 twin turbo with 478 kW (650 hp), hybrid and transaxle construction with 8-speed rear automatic transmission. Market launch is 2027.
