Trial against Salvini: Lega leader acquitted by the Supreme Court


Rome – Italy’s right-wing Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini was finally acquitted on Wednesday of charges of deprivation of liberty and abuse of office in connection with the arrest of the migrant ship “Open Arms”. The Supreme Court in Rome rejected the Palermo prosecutor’s objection to Salvini’s acquittal in the first instance.
