Why isn’t Dembelé playing in PSG x Flamengo?
Dembelé was already treated as a doubt before PSG’s trip to Qatar. The striker suffered an injury to his left calf last month, recovered, but was again out of action in recent games due to a severe virus. He traveled to Qatar, but starts on the bench, largely due to his physical condition.
He was absent from PSG’s last two duels, against Athletic Bilbao in the Champions League (10th) and against Metz, in Ligue 1. As the Frenchman is not playing, Doué was named in the starting lineup.
Confirmed PSG lineup
Safonov; Zaire-Emery, Marquinhos, Pacho and Nuno Mendes; João Neves, Vitinha and Fabián Ruíz; Lee Kang-In, Kvaratskhelia and Doué. Technical: Luis Enrique.
Dembele’s non-PSG numbers
- 107 games
- 44 goals
- 29 assists
