In Portugal, there are around 5.8 million electricity customers on the free market.
According to ERSE, the Energy Services Regulatory Authority, around 90,000 consumers per month switch to a cheaper supplier. That’s about one in six.
And, if we consider that some change more than once a year, this means that many millions of Portuguese continue to pay extra for electricity for years on end.
