Senator Weverton Rocha is the target of the PF in an operation on INSS fraud

Senator Weverton Rocha (PDT-MA) is one of the targets of the new phase of the No Discount operation, launched by the PF (Federal Police) on the morning of this Thursday (18), and which investigates irregularities in the payment of associative discounts to INSS (National Social Security Institute) retirees and pensioners.

The parliamentarian is deputy leader of the government of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) and reports on important agendas in the Senate, such as the appointment of Jorge Messias to the STF (Supreme Federal Court) and the review of the Impeachment Law.

In total, 52 search and seizure warrants, 16 preventive arrest warrants and other precautionary measures, issued by the Supreme Court, are being executed.

The actions take place in the states of São Paulo, Paraíba, Rio Grande do Norte, Pernambuco, Minas Gerais and Maranhão, in addition to the Federal District.

This Thursday’s operation aims to “clarify the practice of crimes of inserting false data into official systems, setting up a criminal organization, social security fraud and acts of concealment and property dilapidation”.
