Sudden death of an icon († 80): He got Queen Camilla, David Bowie and Duran Duran!

Antony Price, the British fashion designer responsible for some of the favorite designs of David Bowie, Roxy Music and Queen Camilla, has died aged 80. The portal published the sad news

Price was best known for his sculpted silhouettes and theatrical style, including the pastel suits that appeared in the music video for the song Rio by the rock band Duran Duran. The group released a statement on social media remembering him as a “visionary” and a “kind, intelligent and insightful friend.”

Price presented its latest collection in London less than a month ago. He did it after more than 30 years. Singer Lily Allen took to the catwalk in a model inspired by the black velvet “revenge dress” worn by Diana in 1994.

According to the British Fashion Council, he was a ‘true original’ due to his distinctive ability to combine elements of men’s and women’s fashion, as well as his technical skill in creating cuts that perfectly contoured the figure. In the 1990s, he began working on models for Camilla, including several outfits for her US tour.
