On Thursday, the Supreme Administrative Court (NSS) of the Slovak Republic partially recognized the judge of the Specialized Criminal Court (ŠTS) Pamela Záleská as guilty of disciplinary motions related to delays in proceedings in several cases. The court sentenced her to a reduction of her functional salary by 20 percent for four months.
She was found guilty on the basis of a disciplinary proposal submitted by the President of the Judicial Council of the SR, Marcela Kosova. The judge was acquitted of some of the acts of the disciplinary motion filed by the chairman of the ŠTS, Michal Truban, while others found her guilty. The decision is final.
Záleska was blamed for the delays in proceedings in several cases. Disciplinary proposals against the judge were submitted by the President of the Judicial Council of the Slovak Republic Kosová and the President of ŠTS Truban. The accused judge denied her guilt in all the acts of the disciplinary proposals.
Truban proposed to find Záleská guilty in all points of his disciplinary proposal and impose on her the penalty of transfer to a lower court and reduce her salary by 50 percent for three months. Kosová also proposed to recognize the accused judge as guilty and to reduce her official salary by 20 percent for three months.
