Tied up, employees of an internet company are shot dead by CV

Three employees of an internet company were tortured and shot to death on Tuesday night (16/12), in Salvador (BA). The victims worked for the company Planet and, according to initial investigations, the crime would have been committed by members of the criminal faction Red Command (CV).

One audio circulating on social mediapublished by the local portal Bnewsreveals shocking details of the criminal action. According to the report, the workers were tied up, tortured and subjected to video callsmade by criminals to the team leader, who was pressured to pay R$ 8 mil for employees to be released.

Video-transmitted torture

In the recording, a person — with his voice distorted to protect his identity — states that the person responsible for the company answered the call and saw the employees being brutally tortured.

“They made a video call to him showing what was happening, asking him for an amount to be released and he didn’t pay. He said he wasn’t going to bow his head to the faction”, reports the author of the audio.

According to the report, the attacks included mutilations.

“The man saw nails and tongues being ripped out,” says the recording.

After refusing payment, the criminals executed the three employees with firearms.

“The worst thing is that it wasn’t even a large amount. It was R$8,000 for three employees who were suffering, being tortured, and even though he saw the video call he didn’t want to pay”, completes the audio.

Identification of victims

According to the Civil Police of Bahia (PCBA)the victims were identified as:

  • Ricardo Antônio da Silva Souza44 years old

  • Jackson Santos Macedo41 years old

  • Patrick Vinícius dos Santos Horta28 years old

The three were surprised while preparing to carry out a technical service in the region where the crime occurred.

Protest for security

After the triple homicide, employees of internet companies held a demonstrationthis Wednesday (17/12), in front of the headquarters of Secretariat of Public Security of Bahia (SSP-BA)in Salvador.

The objective of the act was denounce the violence faced by the category and demand urgent security measures for workers who work in areas dominated by criminal factions.

Company regret note

The company Planet spoke out through social media and deeply regretted the death of the employees.

“They leave a trajectory marked by dedication, companionship and an important contribution to all of us. May their memories remain alive in our hearts. May God bring comfort to everyone”, said the company in a note published on Instagram.

The case remains under investigation by the Civil Police.
