The Civil Police of Minas Gerais is investigating whether Henay Rosa Gonçalves Amorimaged 31, was killed by her partner, Alisson de Araújo, aged 43, in the apartment where they lived or during the car journey to Itaúnain Minas Gerais. The information was passed on during a press conference on Monday (16).
“We can say that we have access to the images, but it has not yet been possible to check the images of the building in Belo Horizonte to confirm whether she left the apartment conscious, alive or dead. This is still further investigation. Expert reports are being carried out”, said delegate João Marcos, responsible for the case.
Traces of blood were found in the couple’s residence and will be sent for forensic examination to analyze whether the DNA is compatible with Henay’s. confessed to having attacked in the apartment and hit in the nose of the woman during an argument, causing blood to spatter on the living room floor.
However, he denied attempting to fake a traffic accident on MG-050, in Itaúna, in the western region of Minas Gerais, to cover up the crime.
The hypothesis of feminicide was raised after reports from witnesses to investigators who stated that when they arrived to help the victim, she was already frozen, with a purple face and blood in her nostrils, frozen and dry. According to coroners, the body
“He confessed to the crime [agressões]: even during the journey, at a certain point, she was driving the vehicle, and he allegedly attacked her. She stopped the vehicle on the side of the road and then the mutual attacks began and on that occasion he allegedly pushed her and hit her head hard against the vehicle and pressed her neck on the right side. He said that the victim would have regained consciousness, told him that she would want to kill him and would have judged the vehicle against the minibus that was coming in the opposite direction”, added the delegate.
Initially, Henay’s death was attributed to head trauma resulting from the accident. However, a second autopsy also indicated the possibility of asphyxiation, compatible with physical attacks reported by Alisson. The expert report has not yet been completed, and both hypotheses remain under analysis.
Meanwhile, the Civil Police awaits the complete analysis of security images from the building in Belo Horizonte and other points along the route to clarify whether Henay left the apartment alive.

After passing through the toll booth, the car the couple was in collided with a minibus on MG-050, in Minas Gerais, on Sunday morning (14).
The local employee called the police after finding the situation strange, as the woman was unconscious in the front driver’s seat. To the police, she reported that she had asked the man about the woman’s condition, and he stated that she was just feeling unwell. He also added that he noticed that the man was agitated, very sweaty and had scratches on his face.
Henay’s family also suspected the cause of death, claiming that she and Alisson had a troubled relationship that lasted about a year, with the presence of aggression.
Authorities had access to images of the toll booth. In the recording it is possible to see the man paying the toll and the attendant observing the unconscious woman.
