The Acre Civil Police (PCAC), through the Identification Institute that operates in Sena Madureira, carried out an itinerant action last Tuesday (16) to issue the National Identity Card (CIN) in riverside communities in the municipality. The services took place in the towns of Campinas and Santa Poland, located on the banks of the Purus River, approximately an hour’s boat ride from the urban area.

The initiative focused on serving residents of difficult-to-reach regions, especially people with comorbidities or physical limitations, who face difficulties in traveling to the Police Station headquarters, where the fixed identification post operates.

To guarantee direct service to the population, the coordinator of the Identification Institute in Sena Madureira, Carlos Ferrari, and the Civil Police investigator, Marcos Oriar, traveled to the communities, taking the essential service to the residents.

In total, eight people were treated, including a 68-year-old woman with mobility difficulties, residents with heart problems, a man who suffered a stroke and children who did not yet have the document.

According to the director of the Identification Institute, Júnior Cesar, the action is part of the Identity for Dignity program, developed in partnership with the Court of Justice of Acre (TJAC) in the district of Sena Madureira. “This initiative ensures citizenship, dignity and access to fundamental rights for populations living further away from urban centers”, he highlighted.

The mobilization reinforces the social commitment of the Acre Civil Police to promoting inclusion, citizenship and access to essential public services, especially for riverside communities and populations in vulnerable situations.
