The police in Zvolen detained a man who was supposed to rob a pharmacy with a knife in his hand on Friday morning. A criminal prosecution for the crime of robbery was also initiated in the case. TASR was informed about this by the spokeswoman of the Regional Directorate of the Police Force in Banská Bystrica, Petra Kováčiková.

“Today in the morning, an unknown man entered one of the Zvolen pharmacies with a knife in his hand and a hood over his head. According to preliminary information, he was supposed to demand money and medicines from the pharmacy staff. He then fled the scene without loot,” added Kováčiková, adding that there were no injuries during the incident.
The police managed to detain a man suspected of committing the crime within an hour of reporting the incident, and a criminal prosecution for the crime of robbery was initiated in the case. “Currently, due to ongoing procedural actions, it is not possible to provide further details. We will provide information on the case when the procedural situation allows it.” added the regional police spokeswoman.
