Has Anderson Silva ever boxed professionally?
Spider’s relationship with boxing is not new. He had two experiences with the sport in 1998 and 2005, but it was in 2021, after leaving the octagon, that Anderson began to dedicate himself completely to professional boxing.
That year, he faced Julio César Chávez Jr. Against an experienced opponent in the sport, the Brazilian surprised by winning by split decision.
Afterwards, Anderson Silva continued to challenge well-known names. In 2022, he defeated former world champion Tito Ortiz by knockout and, in the same year, lost to Jake Paul in a unanimous decision.
Now, at 50 years old, Anderson returns to the ring to face Tyron Woodley, another former UFC champion who also switched to boxing. The duel takes place on the Jake Paul x Anthony Joshua card and puts two MMA icons face to face in search of definitive affirmation in boxing.
