In Santa Rosa, the water level of the Purus River rose more than 2 meters from yesterday to today

Residents of Santa Rosa, in the interior of Acre, are starting to worry about the flooding of the Purus River. According to radio host Pelegrino Ferreira, in the last 24 hours alone the water level has risen by more than 2 meters, approaching the alert level.

For now, there are no families affected yet, but the water is already advancing towards some neighborhoods, especially those located in flooded regions. “It’s been raining a lot in Santa Rosa, practically every day. That’s exactly what we’re worried about,” commented Pelegrino.

In Esperança, a region of Peru, the Purus River showed signs of low tide from yesterday to today. With this, the population of Santa Rosa expects that the decrease in water volume will also occur in the city of Acreana.
