After the end of the police operation, authorities confirmed the death of three people at the scene, the victims being a woman and her son, a child just 4 years old. The perpetrator of the crime was also found dead.

The police siege and the mediation attempt

The Military Police were initially called to respond to a domestic violence call that escalated into a hostage situation. Upon identifying the seriousness of the scenario, the corporation isolated the area and began negotiation protocols. Specialized police officers sought to establish a dialogue with the attacker to guarantee the physical integrity of the property’s occupants.

As a strategy to sensitize the man and obtain his surrender, negotiators requested the presence of the suspect’s relatives at the scene. However, the conversations showed no progress, and the aggressor’s isolation continued until the incident ended.

History of violence

During the period in which the police were at the scene, surrounding residents reported moments of extreme tension. According to statements collected by the neighborhood, it was possible to hear gunshots coming from inside the house, accompanied by calls for help.

In an interview, a close friend of the murdered woman indicated that the victim already feared for her own safety. She had previously requested protective measures against her ex-husband, seeking legal support to keep him away due to the man’s aggressive behavior.

Investigations

The preliminary investigation indicates that the perpetrator of the crime went to the residence under the pretext of visiting his son the day before the events. Witnesses claim that he demonstrated an insistent resistance to accepting the end of the marital relationship, even though the separation had already occurred some time ago.

Failure to comply with distancing and the inability to deal with the end of the union are identified as the main factors that motivated the crime.

Technical expertise was called to analyze the scene and the bodies were sent to the Legal Medical Institute. The case remains under investigation to fully clarify the facts that resulted in the death of the mother, son and father.
