During landing, the left side gear broke and the aircraft’s wing dragged on the runway; no one was injured
A plane suffered an accident this Friday (19) at Pampulha airport, Belo Horizonte (MG). The Beeachcraft King Air C90 model closed the site for landings and takeoffs for more than an hour. The aircraft, registered PR-SJL, left BH at around 11:30 am, heading to Pará de Minas, however, it detected a problem with the landing gear as it approached its destination and returned to the capital of Minas Gerais, around 12:38 pm.
During landing, the gear on the left side broke and the plane’s wing dragged on the runway. Nobody was injured. The plane was stopped on the runway waiting to be removed. The airport only reopened at 1:51 pm. According to CCR Aeroportos, which manages the site, operations continue normally.
