Images from a security camera recorded the moment a small private jet crashes and explodes, leaving seven people dead, including Greg Biffle, a former Nascar driver, on Thursday morning (18), in the United States.
In addition to Biffle, his wife, Cristina, and the couple’s two children, Ryder and Emma, were among the victims, according to a statement from family members.
“This tragedy has left our families devastated,” the victims’ families said in a joint statement. “Each of them meant everything to us, and their absence leaves an immeasurable void in our lives,” the note added. The families also asked for privacy.

The crash occurred shortly after 10:15 a.m. local time, Iredell County Deputy Chief of Police Bill Hamby told CNN.
The FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) reported that the Cessna C-550 crashed while trying to land at Statesville Regional Airport.
Preliminary flight tracking data from the Flight Aware system shows that the private jet took off from the airport, flew 8 km and then made a sharp left turn back to the airport.
According to reports, the aircraft never exceeded two thousand feet in altitude.
