André Ventura wins in the first round. After Chega’s leader, João Cotrim de Figueiredo is the candidate who rises the most, pushing António José Seguro and Gouveia e Melo to fourth and fifth place, respectively.
The presidential elections are less than a month away (January 18). A new survey by Intercampus for Jornal de Negócios gives the first place to André Ventura (18.7% of voting intentions).
Even so, Chega’s leader would have to go to a second round, where Luís Marques Mendes would not win.
Against António José Seguro and Gouveia e Melo there is a technical drawin a possible second round, with a slight disadvantage for Ventura.
The barometer does not reveal, even so, what a second round between Ventura and João Cotrim de Figueiredo – who comes third in this survey (13.6%).
After the president of Chega, who surpasses Marques Mendes, the liberal was the candidate who rose the most in relation to the previous survey, having passed António José Seguro (fourth, with 12.8%) and Gouveia e Melo (fifth, with 11.9%).
Cotrim de Figueiredo appears, however, far from Luís Marques Mendes, who fell to second place with 16.9% of voting intentions, in relation to the November barometer.
The percentage of respondents who do not know or who do not respond has significantly shrunk from 20 to 11.6%.
The CM also highlights the performances of Catarina Martins (sixth place, 6.4%) and of Jorge Pinto (seventh, 4.3%)which they shot at last António Filipe (3.9%).
