The fifth series of the show Pečie čele slovensko is coming to an end. Lenka, Janka and Viki are fighting for the title of Master Baker. A trio of amateur bakers will compete against each other in the grand finale. They will bake goodies for New Year’s Eve table. The audience will learn the name of the winner on Sunday, December 21 at 8:30 p.m. on Jednotka.
Presenter Juraj Bača has been a part of the popular show since the beginning. Each series is special for him with finalists, but this year he experienced the most beautiful shock during filming. „This year we had a lot of people who maybe don’t live in Slovakia, or have roots in Slovakia, or came to Slovakia, so for me it had a little touch of exoticism in many things. But it was mainly different because I had a baby during the filming.” he said with a smile.
Bača remembered the day when his life changed. „I don’t know if it has ever happened in the world that the phone rang during the presenter’s round and the presenter ran to the maternity ward. That was for me, maybe it sounds a little selfish now that I’m not dealing with the competition, but my personal life, but my departure to the maternity hospital was definitely the biggest highlight of this series for me,” confessed the moderator.
In the interview, which you can watch at the beginning of the article, Bača revealed what kind of Christmas awaits them at home. It will be the first holidays with my son. „We also have a family Christmas. Since my brother and his wife celebrate Christmas in the morning, he will also come with the children, with my parents, since I still have both of them, thank God. My family and I will meet at the Christmas table and it is a beautiful moment that I really appreciate the most and I always just pray in the corner of my soul that the future ones will be the same“, Bača confided.
He and his brother are in charge of the technical stuff, such as setting the table and decorating. The presenter’s mother and sister-in-law are in the kitchen again, preparing goodies for the table. „We will meet in the evening and it has a beautiful atmosphere. Last Christmas was magical because, probably the audience will hear this for the first time, but we gave the happy news that we are expecting a baby to our families as a book under the tree and it was very, very nice” shared Juraj.
The book contained photos of Bača and her partner Dominika Richterová practicing various exercises with dumbbells. “Then on about the 20th page it said, well, repeat this for 9 months. And when they understood it, an explosion of joy followed. So, last Christmas was magical. Well, this year we will be in such a lineup for the first time, and I think it won’t be so much about the presents, but rather about making sure the little one doesn’t cry when we’re at the Christmas table, but I’m really looking forward to it,” the moderator spoke openly.
