WASHINGTON (AP) — U.S. President Donald Trump signed the annual defense budget bill into law on Thursday, even though it includes new aid for Ukraine and limits his ability to reduce U.S. troops in Europe. The law, the so-called National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for fiscal year 2026, authorizes a record $901 billion (769 billion euros) in military spending. That’s $8 billion more than Trump requested.
