US sanctions two more ICC judges

The Hague/Washington – The USA has imposed sanctions on two more judges of the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague. The judges affected are Gocha Lordkipanidze from Georgia and Erdenebalsuren Damdin from Mongolia. They voted on Monday to uphold the arrest warrants against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant. The two are accused of alleged crimes against humanity and alleged war crimes in the Gaza war. The ICC perceived an attack on its independence as an impartial judicial institution.
