They have not yet spoken out.

The addresses of the two parliamentarians are the subject of search and seizure warrants in the Federal District and Rio de Janeiro.

He is in his third term in the Chamber and presided over the Evangelical Parliamentary Front, known as the Bible Bench, in 2022.

During this period, he took a stand in favor of the impeachment of former president Dilma Rousseff, Labor Reform and the Proposed Amendment to the Constitution (PEC) on the public spending ceiling.

Operation Weak Branch

Named Galho Fraco, the operation is an offshoot of an investigation launched at the end of last year to investigate transfers of the parliamentary quota to a car rental company. The suspicion of the investigation is that this rental company was created only to issue fictitious invoices with the aim of diverting resources from the Chamber.

In the first operation, the PF targeted parliamentarians’ advisors and gathered information about these contracts. With the deepening, this new action directly targeted the two deputies.
