Czech actor and voice actor Stanislav Fišer († 90) would have lived to be 94 years old on Sunday, December 14. He has portrayed countless memorable characters throughout his career and his voice has become equally famous. For example, he lent it to the actor Pierre Brico, representative of the film Vinnetou. According to him, he also found happiness in his private life, where his beloved wife was his support.
Antonie Hemerková was the love of his lifewhom he met in the spring of 1984. “At that time, I went to the ABC club to see my classmate Maria, who worked there. And there we met Stand. After six years of acquaintance, we started living together,” she recalled a fateful meeting that eventually turned her entire life upside down. She stood by his side even during his serious illness and took care of him with devotion.
That’s when they considered getting married. “We both knew from the beginning that we didn’t want to get married. We only thought about it when he got sick, when it was difficult to handle some things as a partner and a partner.” she explained the complicated situation they had gotten themselves into. After difficult treatment, he overcame cancer of the larynx, but since 2004, he could only speak with the help of a special device that he had to hold to his neck if he wanted to say something.
Subsequently, other health complications appeared, as a result of which he had to spend most of his time at home. A few days before his death, his condition worsened so much that he had to be taken to the hospital, where He died peacefully in his sleep on June 11, 2022. “The last time I saw him was on Friday. He was calm… he didn’t speak. We just held hands and I cried. The doctor told me he was just waiting for me to be brought to him so we could say goodbye. He died on Saturday morning.” his longtime partner described Fischer’s last moments.
The actor even had his property matters taken care of nine years before his death, while he thought primarily of his closest relatives. “Standa wrote a will already in 2013 with a notary,” his better half clarified. According to her, at the end of his life, his great-granddaughter Anička gave him the greatest joy. “She is an admirable and gifted child. At the age of five she decided herself to learn to play the violin. She has already had several performances. She wants to work as a pediatrician one day. I firmly believe that he can do it. Her parents, father Václav, Stand’s grandson, and mother Valentýna, are trying to guide her in the right direction,” explained.
Fišer was born on December 14, 1931 in Hořice. He started out as a volunteer, after the Second World War he first played in the Youth Theater, then alternated engagements in the Vinohradské Theater, the Jiří Wolker Theater and the EF Burian Theater. From 1959 he worked for Jan Werich at the ABC Theatre, which was later incorporated into the Municipal Theaters of Prague, where he remained until his retirement as an actor in 1993.
On his acting account, he had many significant roles, although he was not cast in the main ones. He played in the films Death of the Black King, Pěnička and Paraplíčko, The star falls upwards, Dear aunts and I, Parta Hic, Immortal aunt or Angel’s face. He also played in the series 30 cases of Major Zeman, Zlá krv, Pán Tau, Circus Náhrdelník or Oh, those murders. He has won numerous awards throughout his career. In 1999, for example, the František Filipovský award for lifelong excellence in dubbing.
