Inês Sousa Real’s list, “Forward for the causes”, won all 27 seats on the National Political Commission and the three seats on the National Jurisdiction Council, in a vote marked by the absence of the opposing list, in protest.
Inês de Sousa Real was re-elected this Saturday for a third term as PAN spokesperson, with 69 of the 72 votes from the delegates, winning all the seats on the board.
The results were announced by the president of the Board of the 10th PAN Congress, João Fontes da Costaat around 5:45 pm, after a vote by secret ballot, which took place in the last hour before the results were announced.
Em 72 possible votes (number of delegates present), to list B, “Forward for causes”it achieved 69 votes (95.3%) and list A, “Transform to Grow”who was absent in protest, had just one vote (1.38%). There was still two white votes.
The party had announced that 114 delegates would be present at the Congress, but the final number was very below expectations.
Thus, Inês de Sousa Real’s list increases its presence in the National Political Commission, taking all the 27 places.
In 2023, Inês de Sousa Real had achieved 72% of the votes (corresponding to 20 seats) in the party’s IX Congress. Out of 133 possible votes, list A “For the causes that unite us” managed to 97 votes (72%) and list B “More PAN, Act to renew” 35 votes (28%, corresponding to seven mandates), with one blank vote also being recorded.
With regard to the National Jurisdiction Council, the list B got 71 voteswhich meant that the spokesperson’s list included all three positions in this body. List A only had one vote.
