More than 650 migrants apprehended south of Crete


Athens – Patrol boats from the Greek coast guard and the European border protection agency Frontex have picked up more than 650 migrants south of Crete in the past two days. As the news channel ERTNews reported, citing the coast guard, there were several refugee boats, including one with 545 passengers. The people were taken to the ports of small Cretan coastal towns, from where they were distributed to refugee camps.
