"My God!" Long-awaited files on Epstein revealed – with photos of several famous people

Michael Jackson and Bill Clinton side by side

This Friday, the US Department of Justice began releasing its files on Jeffrey Epstein – with never-before-seen photos involving several celebrities, including a repeat offense by Bill Clinton.

Images of the former US president Bill Clinton relaxing in a jacuzzi and photos of Jeffrey Epsteinconvicted sex offender, with celebrities such as Mick Jagger e Michael Jacksonare among thousands of files released on Friday by the Department of Justice.

In one of the images released by the Department of Justice, Clinton appears relaxed in a jacuzzi, with his arms behind his head, accompanied by another person whose face has been blurred.

The White House press secretary, Caroline Leavittwas one of the first to share the photo on her account on the social network X, reacting with an astonished message: “My God!”.

The declassified documents include at least five other images of the former Democratic president.

In two of the photos, he appears alongside Epstein and, in others, at a party with British singer and songwriter Mick Jagger, although the financier is not present in these last photos.

The US Department of Justice released a total of approximately 3 gigabytes spread across four new datasets.

The release included photographs, telephone call records, jury testimony and some documents and records that were already in the public domain.

The majority are PDF documents, as well as a video file and several individual images, some of which are integrated into multi-page files.

Authorities stressed that the sensitive nature of the case required the review and redaction of each document to protect the victims’ private information and identity.

Experts and analysts have warned that the full release of the files may not provide substantial new information about Epstein’s network of relationships.

The existence of links between Epstein and the people depicted was known and none of the photos released since last week appear to reveal any criminal behavior.

Last week, Democratic congressmen had already released several images, including of Trump and former President Bill Clinton, as well as the former British prince André.

Others portrayed were Bill Gatesco-founder of Microsoft, and Richard Bransonfounder of the Virgin Group.

Epstein died by suicide in prisonaccording to authorities, after being convicted of sex trafficking and solicitation of minors for prostitution.

The death of Jeffrey Epstein, found hanging in his cell in New York on August 10, 2019, before being tried for sexual crimes, fueled numerous conspiracy theories according to which he was murdered to hush up a scandal involving prominent figures in the country.

There will be more documents

Trump, who was initially reluctant to support the release of the documents, ended up signing the law into law after seeing broad support in Congress.

During his 2024 presidential campaign, he promised bombshell revelations about the “Epstein case”, a billionaire with whom he was friends for decades.

However, in recent months the Republican President has changed his speech, classifying the case as a “farce” set up by the Democratic opposition.

O republican president is mentioned several times in the archives related to Epstein, with whom he maintained a friendship before claiming to have cut ties in 2004, years before the first formal accusation against the financier.

For his part, Assistant Attorney General Todd Blanche warned on Friday that it will not be possible to disclose all documents required by law at once due to its volume, and anticipated that the Department of Justice expects to release “a few hundred thousand more” files in the coming weeks.

The release of these documents has long been demanded by public opinion, which is interested in knowing whether any of Epstein’s rich and powerful associates were aware of — or participated in — the abuse.

Epstein’s accusers have also been searching for answers for some time about why federal authorities closed their initial investigation into the allegations in 2008.
