Calcium, nitrogen and carbon are the three elements your lawn needs during this period. We can easily find them in various home products.
Winter fertilizer should contain all three ingredients necessary for the health of the grass. The source of nitrogen, responsible for the density, resistance and juicy color of the lawn, may be, for example coffee grounds. In turn, carbon, which serves as an energy store, can be found, for example, in straw, paper or dry leaves.

Homemade lawn fertilizer for winter should be prepared in appropriate proportions. Half of it should be ingredients rich in nitrogen, half should be ingredients rich in carbon, and eggshells as a source of calcium should only be an addition. After mixing them, we will obtain compost that will nourish the turf throughout the winter.
If we cannot prepare them together, the individual ingredients can also be scattered on the lawn separately. This action will also bring great results.
